Writing a College Essay

Sometimes referred to as an “admissions” or “application essay”,  also called a personal statement or simply a college essay. 

The college essay is an opportunity for you to include your voice, personal experiences, and goals in your applications. 

Some applications may require one or more essays to be completed, while others make essays optional or supplementary. Essay topics range from very specific to open-ended.
